Cansaulim is a small village situated in the taluka of Mormugao in Southern Goa District.
This village is famous for the Cansaulim Beach which has numerous palm groves along its shore.
It is located around 7 km from the main town of Mormugao and about 25 km from the main city of Margao.
The state capital Panaji is just 18 km away from the village of Cansaulim.

Cansaulim Beach – is the name of that part of South Goa sea coastline which is easy to find on the map between the beaches of Arossim and Velsao.
As other resorts of this region of India, Cansaulim Beach resort attracts mostly those tourists who prefer relaxing quite beach holidays far away from noisy cities and overcrowded places of recreation.

Cansaulim Church is one of the oldest churches in Cansaulim village, which is also known as the St.Thomas Church of Cansaulim. Cansaulim Church was built in the year 1581. This Portuguese Church can be visited by visitors of every caste or creed.
Vasco da Gama is a nearby city, which is situated approximately 6 km from the famous Naval Aviation Museum.
This museum is popular for the large collection of popular Indian Fighter Aircrafts.
