Kujukuri Beach is a sandy beach that occupies much of the northeast coast of the Boso Peninsula in Chiba Prefecture, Japan.
The beach is approximately 60 kilometres (37 mi) long, making it the second longest beach in Japan. Kujukuri Beach is a popular swimming and surfing destination for inhabitants of Greater Tokyo.
The beach is protected as part of Kujukuri Prefectural Natural Park.
You can enjoy a variety of marine leisure, such as sea bathing, surfing, wind surfing, jet-skiing, wakeboarding, etc. Even after the sea bathing season, surfers come to Kujukuri Beach for good-quality waves throughout the year.
Access
By public transportation, JR East Togane station is the nearest train station.
By bus bound for Motosuka or Katakai, it is a 10km ride from the station.
By car, exit at Togane Interchange on the Chiba-Togane Road and use the Togane-Kujukuri Expressway to Kujukuri-machi.
Pay parking lots are available in the beaches.
