1 | CHEUNG SHA BEACHES
It’s true, Hong Kong has some lovely beaches that are the perfect refuge from the busy city centre. Cheung Sha Beach makes the top of many people’s ‘best Hong Kong beaches’ list, so we decided to check it out.Most visitors to Lantau Island aim for the orderly sands of Silvermine Bay, the closest beach to the ferry port at Mui Wo, but better swimming can be had along Lantau's southern coast at Upper and Lower Cheung Sha Beaches.

2 | TAI LONG WAN BEACH
This is Hong Kong's loveliest beach. In fact there are two of them, separated by a small hill. The northern beach has better surf, while the southern one is backed by the (cash-only) cafés in the village of Ham Tin (meaning Salty Paddy Field).The Most Beautiful Hong Kong Beaches (and Waterfall).

3 | TURTLE COVE BEACH
Turtle Cove Beach is a beautiful stretch of beach located east of Stanley and west of Tai Tam Reservoir. It is a Grade 1 beach but is not more than 70 meters long, hence its nickname"baby beach".Only for the dedicated sun seeker. Turtle Cove in Tai Tam is the best beach on Hong Kong Island. It’s a glorious stretch of golden sand hemmed in by bucolic greenery on all sides with just a palm tree or two for shade.

4 | CHEUNG CHAU WINDSURF BEACH
Windsurfing has always been a popular pastime on Cheung Chau, and Hong Kong’s only Olympic gold medallist to date, Lee Lai-shan, who took the top prize in windsurfing at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, grew up here. With a fine white beach, a beachside cafe, windsurfing, surfing and kayaking/canoeing equipment available to rent, Kwun Yam has plenty to keep you occupied if you’re looking to do more than just lie in the sun.

5 | HUNG SHING YEH BEACH
The Hung Shung Yeh Beach is a beach in Lamma Island, Hong Kong.It is the most popular beach in Lamma Island. The beach is equipped with toilets, showers and changing rooms. It is also protected by shark net. The beach overlooks the Lamma Power Station.

6 | SHEK O BEACH
Shek O is a beachside village located on the south-eastern part of Hong Kong Island, in Hong Kong.The name "Shek O" literally means the "rocky bay". The entire area is a peninsula on the southern coast of the Hong Kong Island, facing the South China Sea. Shek O is surrounded by Shek O Country Park, Big Wave Bay and Cape D'Aguilar.The first place you need to go there is the beach.

7 | BIG WAVE BAY BEACH
Big Wave Bay Beach is located at the scenic eastern end of Hong Kong Island, close to the Dragon’s Back hiking trail.Big Wave Bay has a beach.It is also the site of a rock carving, which is a declared monument.Big Wave Bay has a good beach with clean sands and is a popular surfing beach.

8 | STANLEY BEACH
Stanley is a town and a tourist attraction in Hong Kong. It is located on a peninsula on Hong Kong Island. It is east of Repulse Bay and west of Shek O, adjacent to Chung Hom Kok. Administratively, it is part of the Southern District.The Chinese name "Chek Chue" refers to the original village-town but "Stanley" generally refers to all the surrounding areas of the peninsula.

9 | ST. STEPHEN'S BEACH
St. Stephen's Beach is a secluded beach in the Southern District of Hong Kong, five minutes from Stanley main beach, and close to St. Stephen's College Preparatory School. The beach has barbecue pits. It is managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

10 | REPULSE BAY BEACH
Repulse Bay, located in the southern part of Hong Kong Island, is the most spectacular bay in the region. Its name comes from a 19th century battle in which the British army repulsed attacking pirates. Today, the place is a luxurious residential area for dining, relaxation, and aquatic activities.

11 | SOUTH BAY BEACH
South Bay Beach is a great alternative to the more popular and crowded Repulse Beach in southern Hong Kong. While great crowds can turn up during weekends, it is still relatively more quiet and less congested than other beaches in the area.

12 | DEEP WATER BAY BEACH
Deep Water Bay is a bay and residential area on the southern shore of Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong. The bay is surrounded by Shouson Hill, Brick Hill, Violet Hill and Middle Island. As per Forbes (July 2015), with 19 of the city's richest billionaires, it is reputed to be the "wealthiest neighborhood on earth".Beneath the hill of Violet Hill is a beach, Deep Water Bay Beach. The bay is reachable by Island Road, a road connecting Repulse Bay and Wong Chuk Hang.

13 | GOLDEN BEACH
Golden Beach is located at the 18.5 milestone of Castle Peak Road in So Kwun Wat, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is contiguous with the adjacent Cafeteria New Beach.Golden Beach is unique amongst the beaches of Hong Kong in that it has a volleyball court. The Hong Kong Beach Volleyball Team occasionally practises on Golden Beach.
