Turtle Cove Beach is a beautiful stretch of beach located east of Stanley and west of Tai Tam Reservoir. It is a Grade 1 beach but is not more than 70 meters long, hence its nickname"baby beach".Only for the dedicated sun seeker. Turtle Cove in Tai Tam is the best beach on Hong Kong Island. It’s a glorious stretch of golden sand hemmed in by bucolic greenery on all sides with just a palm tree or two for shade. By Hong Kong Island standards it’s also blissfully crowds free, although the reason for that is it’s so difficult to find. The on site BBQ pits are great place to cook yourself up dinner while you soak up the sun.The beach is the last known nesting place for Hong Kong’s endangered green turtles, so it's closed between June and October to protect the creatures. To get there, take a junk boat from the Aberdeen Waterfront or the MTR train to Sai Wan Ho, then Bus 14. Get off just after the Tai Tam Reservoir and follow the steep steps that lead down the secluded beach.

Access
To get to Turtle Cove Beach, take bus No.14 from exit A of the Sai Wan Ho MTR station or mini-bus 16X from Chai Wan; the beach is located near the Red Hill estate stop (past the Tai Tam Reservoir). From near the bus stop, stairs lead down the hill to the beach.
